Painting

I've started experimenting with acrylic paints and watercolors. It's far more difficult than I remember.

I'm trying to assemble a portfolio for cartoon illustration. I've always wanted to be a paid artist, and as I'm still unemployed, I figured this would be a great time to pursue freelance illustration.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Two drawings today. It felt so gooooooood to finally focus on one drawing in one sitting without distractions. The concentration has been all over the place lately but as I resolve issues and eliminate drama from my life, things get easier and the pencil scratches fluidly.

More to come soon! I promise!

The will is there, but will is weak.

I often have time to draw, but I don't seem to take advantage of it.

It has been almost a full year since I quit my IT job and I haven't done jack.

Lately, I've been turning on the juice and doodling anything I can.

I hope to update at LEAST once a week.

Ok, I'm absolutely in love with the Moleskine Sketchbook. It's GREAT paper for mix media drawing!

I'm trying to make it a point of drawing something every day and post it on flickr or deviant art.

The decision to post on both Flickr and DeviantArt is still being debated in my head. Most people I know don't check my DA page, or even know about it.

Unfortunately, DA doesn't quite work like most sites I frequent...I can't e-mail a Deviation via e-mail like I can with Flickr, I can't even submit anything via iPhone...this makes my choices of when to update a tad difficult.

I like to travel a bit and don't always have my laptop with me, but my iPhone goes EVERYWHERE. I could draw something in the sketchbook and post to Flickr in a matter of seconds. Why can't DA grasp this?

Maybe I'm missing something here...
